Welcome to the official website of the African Awareness Campaign.
We hope it informs you about our Campaign, describes the hardships faced by the African peoples we help, and persuades you to support our cause.
The African Awareness Campaign (AAC) was founded in March 2000 as a grassroots, faith-based network of compassionate, concerned citizens who wanted to come to the aid of indiginous peoples in sub-Saharan Africa. Under the leadership of founder Dr. Steven V. Terry, the AAC undertakes projects to help feed, clothe, educate, and provide medical supplies to indiginous peoples.
As a fully-accredited 501(c)3 organization today, the AAC runs a number of programs in townships in South Africa, Mozambique, Malawi, and Zimbabwe. In the United States, the AAC seeks to raise public awareness of the hardships facing African peoples, and lead fundraising efforts to support its programs.

I appreciate your response to this great call of need, for the people of Mozambique, Malawi, Zimbabwe, and South Africa are struggling daily to survive. Their need for our assistance is immediate and extreme. Any assistance you provide to the African Awareness Campaign will be greatly received.
As pastor of Deliverance Tabernacle Church, I had the opportunity to visit these countries in February of 2000, just before floods and cyclones severely damaged Mozambique. While there, I saw people living in little, one-room houses made of mud, cardboard, sticks and scraps of trash...
